Sue Chatterton.

Having lived most of my life in Africa, I now live and work permanently in Stafford. The years spent in Botswana are the inspiration for my work.

I started painting in Botswana 12 years ago attending as many classes as I could and developing my own style. I paint predominantly in watercolour because I feel that no other medium can match its qualities and it’s transparency lends itself to the light and colours of Africa.

I have exhibited in Botswana, South Africa and the UK, most notably the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (NEWA) and have work exhibited in private collections across the world.

I am a member of the Wildlife Society and Secretary of the Stafford Art Group. I do undertake commissions – especially where someone has a favourite photo from a holiday. Anyone wanting to know more about myself and my work is welcome to contact me on chatz@ntlworld.com or mobile 077141 00921.
